Brief Description of O&M Superintendent for Truckee Sanitary District
Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, and provides direction and oversight for all District operations and maintenance functions and activities; plans, manages, and coordinates the installation, operations, maintenance, and repair of wastewater collection systems including underground sewer lines and building and field mechanical and electrical equipment including lift stations; ensures the reliable operation of all vehicles and equipment, whether stationary or mobile; manages the building and ground maintenance function; ensures that District maintenance functions meet all applicable laws, regulations and District policies; provides expert professional assistance to District management staff in areas of expertise; fosters cooperative working relationships with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies and various public and private groups; acts as the District’s Safety Director and Emergency Response Coordinator; and performs other duties as assigned. Exercises general supervision over Collection Systems and Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance staff through subordinate supervisory levels.

An immediate full-time position is open for an Administrative Assistant. This position is an in-person only position out of our Crystal Bay office. Candidates must be experienced with managing emails, answering phones, data entry, and office organization. This position works hand in hand with the office manager and principal Architect/Engineer “Architect” to keep the team and office running smoothly.

• Management of the Architect’s email and calendar
• Transcribe Architect’s time from written time log
• QuickBooks:
o enter time for all employees and run payroll
o enter credit card charges
o create, send, and follow-up on invoices
o run reports
o receive payments
• Make deposits at bank and check post office box
• Print plans and materials as needed for Architect, engineer, contractors, etc.
• Scan, save, and send redline/plan mark-ups to draftsman and/or clients
• Set-up electronic and physical files, manage joblist, prepare consulting agreements
• Order and stock office supplies, filing, and office cleaning

• 3 years of office/administrative experience including A/R & A/P
• Efficient computer skills (min. software requirements Microsoft Office Suite –  including Powerpoint)
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a small, diverse, and efficient group environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with clients

• QuickBooks Desktop Pro
• Adobe Acrobat Pro

Building Services Manager

Street Maintenance Worker / Equipment Operator II Seasonal Snow Removal- Town of Truckee, CA ($28.83/hr - $38.92/hr)

The Town of Truckee is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Street Maintenance Worker II Winter Snow Removal Positions. Town Employees are passionate about quality of life and community; we value integrity, teamwork, excellence, commitment, and accountability. We are actively seeking individuals with the same passion and values. The ideal candidate is available to work nights, weekends, and holidays under adverse conditions. Candidate must be responsible and able to work in a skilled and independent manner without close supervision. Must be able to communicate well with supervisors, coworkers, and the public. At times, may provide training and technical project oversight to less experienced and seasonal staff.

Duties include routine and skilled heavy physical labor in the maintenance and repair of Town streets, drainage facilities, and rights-of-way. Must possess two (2) years experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment used in the performance of street maintenance and snow removal. Knowledge of Town road system a plus. A minimum of a Class B driver’s license is desired. Applicants without a CDL that possess experience operating heavy equipment including: Frontend Loaders, Motor Graders, and Split pack Snow Blowers will be considered. Successful candidates with a CDL will be enrolled in the Town’s random drug and alcohol testing program.

Journeyman Electrician

Streamline Electrical, LLC. is an electrical contractor based in the Truckee/Lake Tahoe Region. We are seeking a qualified Journeyman level electrician with residential service experience. You will be expected to know how to complete service-based jobs including troubleshooting, lighting installation, panel upgrades, EV chargers, backup generator installation, etc. Our work consists of mostly residential and some commercial work in Truckee and the surrounding area. 


Note: Complex troubleshooting is often involved so experience as a residential service electrician is a must!

  • 4 years of experience in residential service work AND being able to complete jobs on your own
  • High Quality of Work - The work needs to be done correctly, the first time
  • Proficiency with the latest National Electrical Code and local codes
  • Experience reading mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Work in all types of weather
  • Must have working knowledge of trade materials and tools and provide your own tools
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable 4-wheel Drive/AWD transportation


  • Communicate with customers and coworkers effectively to promote efficiency
  • Assist customers with various electrical needs, from installations to repairs - this could range from installing basic fixtures to replacing a home's electrical panel and wiring
  • Adhere to all applicable requirements, including safety standards and local codes
  • Ensure the safety of both yourself and customers, leaving their homes safer than when you first walked in
  • Have attention to detail, inspect, and properly diagnose electrical concerns, and deliver high-quality workmanship
  • Oversee the activities of a small crew ranging in experience from first to several years apprentice and assist in training new hire employees
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, keynotes, scope of work, and other related drawings
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers

Pay: $28 - $35 per hour depending on experience
