Message from the Executive Director

Message from the Executive Director

On August 27th, our very own Natalie Yanish, CATT Communication, Membership & South Lake Tahoe Government Affairs Manager was named Public Official of the Year by the Nevada League of Cities and Municipalities. This accolade is awarded to a locally elected official who has positively benefitted their community and has shown outstanding leadership and volunteerism through advocating for fair public policy. Natalie has been a Trustee on the Kingsbury General Improvement District since 2010, a local government municipality that provides water, sewer, snow removal, road maintence and replacement, and stormwater management for the residents in the South Eastern jurisdiction of Lake Tahoe.

The Nevada League of Cities and Municipalities is a professional association that serves as the state’s primary champion of local government. As a statewide vehicle for collaboration, the League promotes positive and continuous community development through public policy formulation, advocacy, shared data and timely communication. Through analysis, education, planning and influential legislative representation, the League provides a potent central voice for all communities as they build a vibrant, sustainable and exceptional future for the residents of Nevada.

Natalie was recognized at the NVLC&M Annual Conference this prestigious award which has 41 previous recipients including 25 former and current city mayors. Natalie’s commitment to public service and her community is unparalleled. She works tirelessly and passionately for the agencies, nonprofits and associations she represents. Natalie was hired in June 2020 to spearhead our advocacy and membership efforts in South Lake Tahoe. Congratulations to Natalie for this recognition so well deserved.

Stay safe.
