Truckee Downtown Park Update - September 2021
Truckee Downtown Park continues to make fundraising progress as construction advances towards a late Fall completion. The custom paver sales are coming in strong! In July and August, we have received a total of $9,850 in paver purchases. We are less than $10,000 away from reaching our $100,000 goal for individual donations. In addition, Tahoe Forest Health System increased their sponsorship of Truckee Downtown Park to $10,000 after attending the July 14th Golden Shovel Groundbreaking Ceremony.
On September 1st, another grant request was submitted to Martis Camp Foundation for $10,000. In 2019, the Martis Camp Foundation awarded Truckee Downtown Park with $10,000. The total budget for this project is $734,500. To date, $724,252 of total project budget has been received or committed through in-kind business and professional donations ($200,000), grants and sponsorships ($252,500), in-kind donations of supplies and materials ($179,102), and individual naming opportunities ($92,650).
The generosity and support of our community continues to amaze me during this challenging fundraising time. It is not too late to donate, purchase a paver or consider a naming opportunity. Please contact me for inquiries.
