CATT Participating in Town of Truckee Ad Hoc and Advisory Committee
Short Term Rentals Ordinand & Below Market Rate Program
The Town of Truckee has recently formed an Ad Hoc committee to make recommendations to Council on Short Term Rental policy. This Ad Hoc will meet three times before Council considers lifting its moratorium on new short term rental permits. It is important that our builder community has a seat at the table when these policies are being discussed. If you have any thoughts on this policy, please send them to CATT Government Affairs Manager Pete Fenolio at email@example.com or come to your next LGAC meeting!
The town has also formed an advisory committee to discuss framework for the proposed Below Market Rate Program. This program seeks to repeat what other destination towns have done to secure deed restricted housing for our community workforce. This program has been used with great success in Vail and other destination areas to address the challenge of workforce housing. CATT seeks to ensure that some of the incentives from this program go towards new construction projects. Join our November TNT LGAC to learn more about this program and CATT’s goals for our building and construction community.
