CATT held its first Advocacy Summit on October 26th at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Nonprofit Center in Incline Village. The intent of this summit was to give strong direction through strategic planning and envisioning with our LGAC leaders and several key CATT committee members passionate about our advocacy efforts. Steve Teshara, Sustainable Community Advocates was our facilitator. Steve has been involved with CATT for the past 10 years and most recently retired as CEO of the Tahoe Chamber where he was deeply involved with Government Affairs and a Political Action Committee.
There was a deep level of engagement around fundraising to increase advocacy effectiveness, workforce development awareness, growing strength through community partnerships, committee structure, policies, and membership recruitment. Staff is looking forward to the next step reporting back to the membership the areas that we will be prioritizing in 2022 as it relates to the need to envision increased effectiveness and lake wide advocacy services for CATT members. We have never had more resources to expand our scope.
The CATT Christmas Holiday Party is around the corner. Get your tickets now before it sells out. We have swag sponsorships still available, and we are looking for project nominations for our Annual Building Awards. Please contact the CATT office if you want to get involved with this end of year event that celebrates and awards the excellence in our building community.
My best,
