Completed in 2017, this 4,500 sq ft home commands vistas of the surrounding mountain landscape with peak views of the Martis ski runs at Northstar California Resort.
The owners were inspired to build a transitional mountain home that utilizes natural materials, blending mountain living with a Napa Farmhouse feel. Accents throughout are reminiscent of their home state of Florida.
One hundred-year-old reclaimed barnwood mixed with black steel adorns the exterior. Sliding doors are featured in the living room, kitchen and media room. Other materials used include custom stained wood floors throughout the home, stone on both the exterior and interior in several locations, wood beams and gray stained wood ceilings, textured wallpapers in several of the spaces to add a touch of elegance, low-flow plumbing fixtures and LED recessed fixtures for energy conservation.
The dining room boasts a two-column wine fridge separated by a buffet with a waterfall black leathered granite countertop. In the center of the room stands a custom award-winning dining table made of oak and stainless steel designed by interior designer Emily Esposito. A pass-through kitchen window connects the kitchen and outdoor dining and BBQ area.
The home is an entertainers dream with a chef's kitchen with high-end appliances, top-of-the-line AV and lighting system, sliding/pivot doors and motorized shades. A blended style of mountain living infused with a Napa farmhouse and touches of Florida created a stylistically different Tahoe mountain home that still incorporates some Tahoe elements to fit seamlessly in with its natural surroundings while keeping the home cozy, warm and inviting.
