TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
Issues related to the conversion of timberland pursuant to the Z'berg-Nejedly Forest Practice Act of 1973 (Chapter 8, Part 2, Division 4 of the Public Resources Code), the Forest Practice Rules (Chapter 4, Division 1.5, Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations), and the California Timberland Productivity Act of 1982 (Chapter 6.7, Part 1, Division 1, Title 5, Government Code).
CATT ADOVACY: Staff has been working with coalition partners to voice concerns about the exemption requirement on acres that are less than 3 acres in size for timberland production. This policy requires a certified forester and Licensed Timber Operator to remove trees on many urban and residential lots that were ot intented for timberland production.
