Sporting Clay Tournament Success
May 4th turned out to be the perfect day for our 7th Annual Sporting Clay Tournament. 79 participants competed in three different class levels. The day started off with hot coffee and delicious pastries from Raley’s in Carson City.
After the safety talk, 40 people participated in the first-ever CATT Annie Oakley Shoot. This fast-paced and exciting event had all shooters take position at 27 yards. 3 shooters mount their guns. The first shooter calls for the bird and shoots. If the first shooter misses the target, the second shooter shoots at the target. If missed, the third shooter shoots at the target. If the second or third shooter hits the target, the shooters who missed are eliminated. If a shooter shoots out of turn, or shoots after the target is broken, they are eliminated. The next round is led by the shooter following the one who broke the target.
